Apartments, including refurbished and heritage residences at some of our communities. And oversized residences for those wanting something larger. Each community offers its own mix, so it’s worth exploring which one suits you best.
How is it different to lifestyle estates and aged care?
Retirement living, lifestyle estates and aged care serve genuinely different needs. A retirement village, like the communities across the IPLiving portfolio, is built for people who want to live independently in their own home within a supportive, social community, with help available if and when they need it.
A lifestyle estate suits people who want to own their home outright in a similar over-55s setting, without the same level of community support or care built in. Aged care is different again, designed for people who need a higher level of everyday clinical or personal care, with trained staff providing that support onsite.
Retirement living sits between full independence and aged care, offering your own home, a genuine community and support close by, without the higher level of clinical care aged care is built around.
What does it cost to live in a retirement community?
Moving into a retirement village typically involves an ingoing contribution, ongoing fees to cover community services and upkeep, and a departure fee when you eventually leave. Our Certainty PLUS model is designed to make this fairer. You share in property growth, your departure fee is all-inclusive with no hidden extras beyond fair wear and tear, and our Certainty Guarantee protects you with a minimum refund, even if your home is worth less than expected when you leave. Costs vary by community and home type, so the best next step is a chat with the team at the community you’re interested in for exact figures.
What happens if I need aged care?
Many residents continue living independently at their IPLiving community with support from family and government-funded home care services, with help from our team to connect them with the right support as their needs change. If residential aged care does become the right option, our team will help make that transition as smooth as possible.
Do you allow pets?
Yes. We know pets are part of the family, and they’re welcome across IPLiving communities. We simply ask that they’re well behaved, kept on a leash in shared areas, and don’t interfere with the quiet enjoyment of other residents.
